NightInGala: Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence and Leadership

On the evening of November 13th, NHNPA members and guests gathered in The Barn at Bull Meadow in Concord for the NightInGala, a special celebration marking NHNPA's 50th Anniversary. The event was filled with connection, recognition, and reflection on half a century of advancing nurse practitioner practice in New Hampshire.

The evening began with a beautiful cheese display and passed appetizers, followed by a delicious dinner buffet featuring seared chicken breast, braised short ribs, and wild mushroom potato gnocchi. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed the sounds of the Madonna Gordon Jass Trio, creating the perfect atmosphere for reconnecting with colleagues and celebrating our professional community. The band was fantastic, and Madonna Gordon being an NP made it even better.

Medicaid keeps New Hampshire healthy—let’s keep Medicaid strong.

On behalf of our members, NHNPA is a proud member of the NH Medicaid Matters Coalition, a partnership of 80+ health-care and community organizations united against unprecedented state and federal cuts to Medicaid. We’re urging lawmakers to reject provisions that would:

• Add burdensome premiums & work requirements
• Slash provider taxes that keep rural clinics and hospitals open
• Force constant redeterminations, putting 187,000 Granite Staters—half of them children—at risk of losing coverage

SB 252 is now law,

In 2025, NHNPA ensured that APRNs weren’t left behind. SB 252, now law, allows APRNs, Physicians, and PAs to prescribe Schedule II–IV opioids (and non-opioids) via telemedicine, decreasing barriers to care for Granite Staters. Initially, this bill did not include APRNs or PAs. NHNPA recognized the oversight, drafted a key amendment to expand the bill to APRNs, testified alongside the PA Society, and kept the bill moving until Governor Ayotte’s signature. #NHleg #APRNsLead #WorkforceFreedom #Telehealth #OpioidSafety #NHNPAAtWorkForAPRNs
