Call for Action

House Bill 524 would end our state's current system for providing access to vaccines for children. Currently, insurance companies pay into a central fund (run by the NH Vaccine Association), which helps purchase vaccines for all children in the state at a 30 percent discount. Without the NHVA, providers and organizations would have to buy immunizations upfront at full price, administer the vaccine, and then bill insurance companies for reimbursement. Families with private insurance would likely be required to pay for all or some of the vaccines, depending on co-insurance and co-pays.

2025 AANPCB Commissioner Elections Begin Sunday
Elections for two family NPs to serve as commissioners on the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) will open this Sunday, Oct. 20, and close at midnight (PT) on Nov. 2, 2024. The Board of Commissioners (BOC) governs the AANPCB organization and its certification programs. Elected commissioners will begin their duties on Jan. 1, 2025, for three-year terms.

All AANPCB-certified NPs are encouraged to vote for these very important positions. The AANPCB Commissioner Election is held every October through a secure electronic voting format. When voting opens, certificants will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions and a link to their secure ballot.

Voters participating in this election will be entered into a random drawing in which ten winning certificants may choose either a certification renewal* ($195 value) or a $200 Amazon gift card.

For more information about AANPCB and the 2025 commissioner elections, visit aanpcert.org.
