Call for Presentations - Annual Confernence

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
The Northern New England Nurse Practitioner Conference Planning Committee is soliciting proposals to present during a concurrent session or to conduct a workshop at the conference on April 12, 13 & 14, 2023. The concurrent sessions will 75 minutes.   

Proposals to present and/or conduct workshops will be selected by the Conference Planning Committee based on the content of the application and the topic's relevance to the continuing education and professional development needs of nurse practitioners. Proposals should be aligned with the conference objectives and address one of the key topic areas. We are striving to have a well-balanced agenda with current topics. One person may submit multiple proposals.  

Conference Learning Objectives:
Discuss the implications of critical issues and clinical challenges facing nurse practitioners in the health care environment.
Utilize evidence-based practice to improve patient care outcomes.
Empower nurse practitioners as leaders in healthcare.

Key topic areas of interest for the conference:
Primary Care, Pediatrics, Psychiatric/Behavioral Health, Women's Health, Acute Care, and Leadership/Professional Development.

Who should consider submitting an application?  
Nurse practitioners, educators, physicians, public health professionals, policymakers, innovators, researchers, clinicians/practitioners, administrators, and students/residents.  Presenters are not required to be a nurse practitioner or a member of NHNPA.

Important Dates:
June 29, 2022 - Applications due.
Late September - Submission recipients notified of selections.
April 11, 12 & 13, 2023  - Northern New England Nurse Practitioner Conference - Mount Washington Hotel - Bretton Woods, NH

Helpful Information for Submitting A Proposal: Please note that you will need to complete your entire submission in one sitting (you will not be able to edit your proposal once you hit submit).  If you need to modify your submission (after it has been submitted), please contact Kim Mohan @ [email protected]

The following information will be required in the proposal:
Title (65 characters or less).
Name, Credentials, Organization, and Role of ALL Speakers (maximum of 2).
Your choice of session type (concurrent oral presentation or workshop) and length of the workshop (75 minutes, 165 minutes, 180 minutes or other).
Your preference of which day you would like to present (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, No Preference).
Short description (up to 50 words) of your presentation that will appeal to attendees. If your presentation is selected, this information may appear in the conference program (subject to NHNPA edits).  
Long description (300 words or less).  Required: background of topic, purpose or aim of the presentation, brief summary of the content, significance and implications for nurse practitioners, and the number of minutes devoted to pharmacology.
