NHNPA welcomes Tricia Aiston as our organization’s appointee on the: Commission to Study Testing for Lyme and Other Tick Borne Diseases established by HB 490, Chapter 9:2, Laws of 2020.
Tricia L. Aiston, M.S., APRN-FNP-BC received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program from Rivier University in NH. She is licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (ARPN), and is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the NH Nurse Practitioner Association, the Dermatology Nurse Association, the New England Dermatological Society and the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners.

Presenter: Sarah W. - Meningococcal Disease Survivor & Jim Palazzo, PharmD, MSL
Sean graduated from Seattle University in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After work in the arts, emergency medicine and psychology, he returned to studies and completed his graduate work at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Master of Science in Nursing. He also completed national certification as an APRN, leading to work in family practice in Spokane, WA before settling back in New Hampshire. Ongoing interest in holistic health have led Sean to completion of studies in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine. Sean worked for eight years at Life Long Care of New London prior to his work with Dr. Lori Richer in integrative health for a few years. He returned in the spring of 2018 and has quickly been building his practice ever since. Sean and his wife, Janice, are both newly certified EMTs and reside in Grantham. They have one grown son.

The National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH), the membership association for the 50 State Offices of Rural Health (SORH), is seeking input from Rural Primary Care Providers across the country. All provider types are strongly encouraged to have their voices heard to move the Power of Rural forward through completion of the Rural Primary Care Provider Survey 2020!
The mission of NOSORH is to provide capacity-building and support services to SORH and its stakeholders. To that end, survey responses will provide front-line, boots-on-the-ground perspective from YOU, our rural primary care providers. This perspective will be used to frame the work of the NOSORH Primary Care Committee as well as development and enhancement of available resources, tools and technical assistance (TA) opportunities.
NHNPA has been asked to assist the BON with sharing the attached notice from the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office pertaining to death certification with New Hampshire APRN’s. Please review the attached information and direct any questions to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
NHNPA is seeking nominations for the Secretary role on the Board of Directors. All current members are encouraged to nominate a colleague or to self-nominate. The nomination application will take less than 5 minutes - we will ask three quick questions about qualifications and prior involvement in NHNPA. We have shared a general overview of the expectations of all our Board members. Please feel free to email or call our office if you have any questions.
The NHNPA Board of Directors is an active working board with specific expectations of our members. The Board Secretary is responsible for taking minutes at the monthly Board meeting, annual retreat and annual membership meeting. The Secretary also assists the Executive Director and Board President with maintaining Association related documentation and supporting communication among the Board of Directors.
The 2020 National Health Service Corps (NHSC) New Site Application cycle will open for eligible health care sites on Tuesday, May 26 and will close on Tuesday, July 21 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Share this information with potential sites. Interested sites are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and to sign-up to be notified when the application opens.
Eligible sites include health care facilities that provide outpatient, ambulatory and primary health care services (medical, dental, and behavioral and/or substance abuse treatment) to populations residing in high-need urban and rural areas. Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) are the only eligible inpatient facilities and must be affiliated with an NHSC-approved outpatient clinic.
Basic eligibility requirements:
